The story of pension issues in State Bank of India is more than several decades old and the cries of all the retirees have all along been directed to the dustbin, rather thrown to the whirlwind. Difficult it is to count as to what could be the actual number of lawsuits filed in different courts of Law including mainly High Courts and Supreme Court of India. Who bothers if hundreds of aspirants for an improved pension breathed their last during this interregnum. Unions, associations, federations but they are all incapable of eliciting any tangible outcome excepting pumping money to professionals like advocates and consultants and others for an outcome, barren and futile. Did they ever ask them or any one of them as to what for they charged the hefty sum of amount and why they failed to show form to the judiciary to the extent of bearing fruits. I think now is the time when the task is dealt with by the members themselves directly, come what may. If I talk of a revolution I quite tangibly mean it. Let modus operandi be worked out rendering it feasible to launch a massive morcha. The respective membership in different unions and federation is the same even though as retirees and it is in their spirit to fight and win against whatever be the onslaughts. Fear not the Sword of Damocles and have the conviction that victory is bound to be yours like in the last several decades including the terror stricken National Emergency.
