DEAR SIRS,IN CONTINUATION OF MY NOTE DATED 6TH MAY,2016 PART2—-
WITH THE REVISION IN CEILING MADE THOSE RETIRING AFTER 1.11.1993 NOT ONLY THE OFFICERS FROM JMG TO TEGSS GRADES STARTED DRAWING THE SAME PENSION,THOSE WHO RETIRED PRIOR TO 1.11.1993 WERE NOT GIVEN ANY  RELIEF ON THE LINES WHICH WAS EXTENDED AT THE TIME OF EARLIER REVISION TO PENSION CEILING I.E FOR THOSE RETIRED AFTER 1.1.1986,THE PENSION CEILING OF RS2400/CONTINUED TO OPRATE UNREASONABLY AND ACCORDINGLY THEY CONTINUED TO DRAW PENSION LESS THAN WHAT WAS PAYABLE TO THEM ONTHE PRINCIPLES ACCEPTED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND APPROVED BY THE SUPREME COURT AT THE TIME OF REVISION OF PENSION CEILING W.E.F 1.1.1986 HAD THEN WOULD HAVE DRAWN EQUITABLE AND REASONABLE PENSION.
ARISING OUT OF CEILING OF RS4250/  AND ANOMALIES CREATED IN PAYMENT OF PENSION AMONGEST PENSIONERS WHO RETIRED PRIOR TO OR AFTER SUCCESSIVE SALARY REVISIONS THE BANK PUTUP THE MATTER TO THE GOVERNMENT VIDE LETTER NO DO/CDO/ADM/SPL/7612 DATED 15.02.1997 TO REVISE THE CEILING OF PENSION TO 50% OF THE SUBSTANTIVE BASIC PAY AS THE CEILING OF RS4250/WAS  UNREALISTIC.HOWEVER ,LOOKING TO THE RELUCTING OF THE GOVERNMENT FOR INCREASING THE CEILING AT 50%,BANK AGAIN SENT RECOMMENDATIONS VIDE LETTER NO CDO/ADM/SPL/1297 DATED10.06.1997 TO FIX CEILING OF 47% OF THE SUBSTANTIVE PAY IN RESPECT OF OFFICERS DRAWING THE SUBSTANTIVEPAY ABOVE RS8500/.HOWEVER,AFTER PROTECTED CORRESPONDENCE THE GOVERNMENT VIDE LETTER FNO/I/5/91-IR DATED 23.02.1999 LAID DOWN UNDER NOTED CEILINGS—
(a)EMPLOYEES/OFFICERS HAVING PAY UPTO RS8500/        50% OF THE PAY
(b)EMPLOYEES/OFFICERS HAVING PAY ABOVE RS8500/      40% OFTHE PAY SUBJECT TO MINIMUM RS4250/
