Visitors column–cursory views of Gopalji Tandon on pension related matters:

There is huge mail (email) from different quarters of readers sent to me every day which in a way serves the purpose of a comment with the difference that an email expires at the level of the recipient as against a comment which has much wider a spectrum of exclusiveness contents wise capable of reaching the readers in general in a bigger measure. Actually it is better for the readers to make a comment on a specific post instead of sending the message as email. With a view to seeing that some of the important messages don’t go ashtray without reaching the people in general, a new device in the form of ‘Visitors Column’ is evolved by this blog where comments received through email are parked for more popular a usage at the level of pensioners, aspirants for compassionate appointment and all other readers in general. Hopefully the readers should be able to make the requisite use of it. Gopalji Tandon belongs to committed enthusiasts on the areas in question and his cursory views are reproduced below in the form of a column:

CHEATING OF 7TH BIPARTITAE RETIREES BY BANK

AS WELL AS GOVERNMENT

Approps to positive response of Sarvsri Gopal Krishna Iyer, Shri K.R. Saini & V.S. Srinivasan who have motivated our elder brothers of 80 years & above not to accept LOLLY POP GOODWILL PACKAGE at the cost of their juniors who are suffering for the last more than 15 years. The GOOD WILL PACKAGE  offered by the Bank to our senior colleagues is not an honor to them but they are being befooled by BANK/Govt. the similar befooling was done by the Bank when they have offered a packet of sweets in the year 1965 in the name of celebrating DECADE CEREMONY of the Bank which offer was refused by our Learned Union Leaders & asked the Bank if they honor their staff in real sense they must pay some tangible gift. In the same way our PENFED should ask the Bank to revise the pension of  5th, 6th & 7th retirees for which they are entitled for the last more than 15 years by which the Seniors of 80 Years plus will automatically get more than GOOD WILL PACKAGE.

Although the Bank has not announced officially to celebrate its 60th anniversary we 30000 aggrieved retirees of 7th Bipartite may project Dharnas at all the Branches of State Bank of India to draw the attention of Public towards Banks cheating on the 60thanniversary of the Bank on 1-7-2015. However, we seek permission of Shri K.R.Saini & PEN FED in this regard.

I hope progressive thinking Govt. under the dynamic leadership of Shri Narendra Modi who have got blessings of three Mothers to become Chakravorty as RAJA RAM. In this connection an article was also written by me on 25-5-2014 and copies thereof was sent Shri Modi as well as Shri Neelkanth Ji. I hope that Shri Modi will announce the revision of aggrieved pensioners  on the eve of 1st July 2015 i.e. 60thanniversary of our beloved Bank where I have paid 40 years of my life.

  4. IT IS REALITY THAT OUR PENSION ISSUES REMAIN UNRESOLVED DUE TO THE ADAMANT STAND BEING ADOPTED BY THE GOVERNMENT.THE PRESENT PRECEPTION OF THE OFFICIALS OF THE FINANCE MINISTRY NEEDS TO BE CHANGED.THIS PERCEPTION ENTERTAINED BY THE VARIOUS OFFICIALS DEALING WITH OUR PENSION ISSUES OVER THE YEARS IS UNFORTUNATELY PASSED ON TO THEIR SUCCESSORS.WE ARE NOT SURE WHETHER OUR BANK HAS MADE ADEQUATE ANDPERSISTENT EFFORTS WITH SUITABLE EXPLANATION FORCHANGING THIS PREJUDICED PERCEPTION.OUR PENSIONERS’ FEDERATION HAS BEEN MAKING ITS APPEALTO GOVERNMENT FOR RECONSIDERING AND REVIEWING ITS ADAMANT STAND.NO DECISION OF THE GOVERNMENT AND ITS MACHINERIES SHOULD RESULT INTHE VIOLATION OF THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS OFA LARGE SECTION OF SENIOR SECTION OF ITS CITIZENS..
