‘NewsPage’ is a special page on this blog exclusively meant for news relating to the readers of it. It is specifically given on the top of any post or page with a view to facilitating the readers to locate it. The fact that there are queries as from the readers in regard to court proceedings in respect of legal proceedings pending in the matter of pension issues in a big number every day shows that readers/pensioners are not taking advantage of the NewsPage. It is kept fully updated on news front by KR Saini and it can well be called as ‘KR Saini’s Page’. Whatever development is there in the interest of pensioners is there on the Page. Instead of flooding this office with queries in  a large number, the readers may better refer the NewsPage saving their time and ours too. Readers are also advised to address it to this office if they come across some news of importance relating to pensioners in SBI and also those in relation to some development or the other in the matter of the aggrieved heirs of the deceased employees seeking (and not getting) compassion based employment.

NOW,IT IS LEARNT FROM THE PENSIONERS FEDERATION THAT OUR COURT CASE W.P(C)1875/2013 IN DELHI HIGH COURT HAS NOT COME UP FOR HEARING ON 18TH AND 19TH MAY,2015,THE CASE MAY COME UP FOR HEARING WHEN THE COURT REOPEN ON THE 29TH JUNE ,2015 AFTER SUMMER VACATION.THE NEXT DATE OF HEARING WILL BE ADVISED ONLY WHEN THE REGISTRAR OF DELHI HIGH COURT WILL INCLUDE THE CASE IN THE ‘LIST’ IN DUE COURSE OF TIME..

  3. ”GOODWILL PACKAGE” FOR STAFF PENSIONERS AND FAMILY PENSIONERS AGED 80 YEARS AND ABOVE AS ON 01.07.2015 FOR DETAILS REFER TO INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN CIRCULAR NO C.D.O/PM/16/SPL/324 DATED THE 11TH MAY,2015.
IN THIS CONNECTION I HAVE OBSERVED THAT BANK IS PROVIDING THIS ”GOODWILL PACKAGE” ON THE EVE OF COMMEMORATION OF SIXTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF BANK’S DAY ON IST JULY,2015.THIS SCHEME OF PAYMENT OF ONE TIME LUMP SUM AMOUNT TO PENSIONERS AND FAMILY PENSIONERS AGRD 80 YEARS AND ABOVE WHO ARE ALIVE AS ON 1.07.2015.
BUT THE REALITY IS SOMEWHAT DIFFERENT BECAUSE THIS IS ONE TIME MEASURE AND OUR ELDERS(NOW MORE THAN70YEARS TO 87YEARS OLD AND AVOBE I.E 5TH,6TH AND 7TH BIPARTITE RETIREES) WHO BURNT MIDNIGHT OIL LITERALLY FOR THE WELFARE AND GROWTH OFTHE BANK HAVE LEFT AT THE MERCY OF GOD AND FEND THEMSELVES.ALL THESE PENSIONERS WHO RETIRED UP TO31.10.2002 HAVE SINCE REACHED AGE 70YEARS AND ABOVE DO NOT ENJOY ANY FINANCIAL SECURITY AND DEPEND ON THEIR OFFINGS.IN CASE OF 5TH BIPARTITE RETIREES(1.11.1987 TO31.10.1992) THE MAXIMUM BASIC PENSION IS RS2400/ PER MONTH ONLY AND IN CASE OF 6TH AND 7TH BIPARTITE RETIREES THE MAXIMUM BASIC PENSION IS RS5920/ PER MONTH.THE TOTAL PENSION OF THESE RETIREES IS LESS THAN RS20000/ PER MONTH INCLUDING D.A.
LOWER PENSION DOES NOT PERMIT THESE GROUP OF PENSIONERS/FAMILY PENSIONERS WHO ARE SURVIVING A RESPECTABLE LIVING,

  11. The goodwill pakage to senior pensioners though laudable is very insignificant.I wysh the Bank comrs out with goodwill package to all retirees and come out of the clutches of Govt and win the wholehearted accolades of these senior citizens who are groaning for over two decades. This act of the Bank will be etched in gold for SBI is known for its benevolence and Humanistic HRD policies.
