Why pensioners in SBI feel disgruntled?

This has reference to an earlier post titled as “Wakeup ye pensioners, wakeup now at least” necessary link of which is given below:

https://uppermost.me/2014/07/27/wakeup-ye-pensioners-wakeup-now-at-least/

This opened a  gate of reactions and also comments. It is good in the sense that the concerned people got a handy avenue to interact which is necessary from awareness angle and if the readers take due interest in the matter it may assume favourable proportions. Reproduced hereunder is a dialogue via comments between the two veterans belonging to this blog –Rajkumar Negi and K.R. Saini which is supposed to be of some interest to the pensioners. The readers may please go through it.

Rajkumar Negi:

Sir, you have rightly narrated the inner side of the pensioners. The pensioners have waited and waited for fourteen years and nothing positive has come out. Sh K.R.Saini and yourself have written many blogs on this issue but no action from any side. The Supreme-court also has failed to stict on hid order for the Delhi High court to decide the case of State Bank Of India with in six months , but there is no supervision on the Delhi Hgh court proceedings. One case of Smt Premvati bagga reffered in 2002 by seven pensioners and only three are alive, but no progress or result of the case. Our Govt is not govt for the people but only for the members of the parliament.for the increase in their salaries and Bhatas. We have a hope on Mr Modi , and if no reply or action from Mr Modi within this years , we will start aompain against N.D.A. Govt as we have already started against Mr Chidambaram the Finance-minister in U.P.A.govt. All other facts mentioned by you are correct. thanks for the blog and thanks to Mr Saini for the kind efforts for the pensioners specialy the 7th bipartite pensioners from the State Bank Of india. The delay on the blog is due to Internet was not in order and after five days I am able to read your blog. thanks.
Rajkumarnegi

K.R. Saini:

SHRI NEGI,THE RESOLUTION OF ALL OUR PENSION ISSUES DOES NOT INVOLVE COMPLICATED LEGAL ISSUES.THE LAWS IN THIS REGARD ARE WELL SETTLED BY THE VARIOUS PRONOUNCEMENTS BY THE SUPREME COURT.BUT, GOVERNMENT RIGID ADAMANT ATTITUDE NOT TO PROVIDE ANY IMPROVEMENT IN PENSION TO S.B.I PENSIONERS IS THE MAIN REASON THAT OUR PENSION ISSUES ARE PENDING FOR A LONG PERIOD..HOWEVER,THE FIGHT BETWEEN INDIVIDUALS AND THE GOVERNMENT/BANK I BY ANY STRETCH AN UNEQUAL BATTLE.THE INDIVIDUALS(PENSIONERS) WITH LIMITED RESOURCES CAN NEVER MATCH THE UNLIMITED RESOURCES OF THE GOVERNMENT/BANK AND THIS CONTEST IS ALWAYS ON UNEQUAL ONE.THIS MAY BE ONE REASON THAT PENSIONERS HAVE LOST PATIENCE DUE TO LONG DELAY IN RESOLUTION OF OUR PENSION ISSUES.K.R.SAINI

    1. I know the topic is not of an interest to you but you are on it as a sympathiser. What you have stated is a significant pointer to all the pensioners in SBI. My thanks with regards.

ALTHOUGH A LARGE NUMBER OF PRE 2002 RETIREES CROSSED THE AGE TIME OF 70 YEARS TO 86 YEARS ARE SUFFERING FOR THE LAST 14 YEARS,YET THEY ARE HOPEFUL FOR SOME FAVOURABLE DECISION IN THE COMING DAYS DUE TO THE CONTINUOUS EFFORTS/FOLLOW UP BY THE PENSIONERS’ FEDERATION AND VETERAN LIKE YOU VARIOUS ISSUES WITH GOVERNMENT/BANK AND FOLLOW UP VARIOUS COURT CASES PENDING IN VARIOUS HIGH COURTS.IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO HOPE FOR THE BEST. 2. The pensioners of SBI have become thickskinned because of the procrastination policy of IBA and the Govt. Our only hope is the legal system which again is very slow. Our present govt is our only hope.Mr Modi and his Govt which is alive to the problems created by the previous govt will I am sure clear the cobwebs at rhe earliest

  3. Sir, thank you very much for taking this issue once again, you are the best person for the S.B.I Pensioners along with Mr K.R.Saini, both of you have written much for the pensioners. Your previous blog “A cursory look on S.B.I Pensioners was full of comments by the different writers and blog lovers. but could not have any effect on the S.B.I Management ,The I.B.A. and the Govt, which was run by Sh P Chidambaram, the then finance-minister in U.P.A.govt , who thought that he is the permanent Finance-minister of the country and has spoiled the whole issue of the Bank pensioners. Now, we have the hope on the Supreme Court and the Prime-minister Mr Modi , the finance-minister under N.D.A. . The High court of Delhi has to make early decision on the case.. The S.B.I Pensioners specially the 7th bipartite retirees are having the hope ,something positive will be there in their life by the court/the govt and the bank management.
Sir thanks once again for the love and affection for the pensioners/retirees.

  4. Although it is a bit old refrain all the ills are due to the arrogance and wrong policy with some hidden agenda of PC. After the indefinite strike Shantha Raju and Chida did not see eye to eye.PC wanted to have his way against SBI pensioners and the staff.

  5. WITH CHANGE IN GOVERNMENT FROM U.P.A -2 TO N.D.A LEAD BY SHRI NARENDERA MODI OF B.J,P AS PRIME MINISTER IN JUNE 2014,THERE IS A STRONG HOPE OF A CHANGE IN MINDSET OF THE DECISION MAKING IN ALL FIELDS IN SOLVING OF THE LONG PENDING ISSUES DUE TO THE WRONG POLICIES AND HIDDEN BIASED AGENDA OF THE FINANCE MINISTER IN THE PREVIOUS GOVERNMENT.THIS ATTITUDE REMAINS EVEN UP TO THE LAST MOMENT WHEN SHRI P.C ARROGANTLY STATED THAT NOT ONLY BANK EMPLOYEES ARE ENTITLED TO THE PROFITS BUT THERE ARE OTHER STAKEHOLDERS WHO ARE ALSO ENTITLE TO THE SHARE IN THE PROFITS BY DIVIDEND.ACCORDING TO HIM 10% INCREASE IN SALARY FOR BANK EMPLOYEES IS SUFFICENT FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS.
