What was in the offing during the Chintan Shivir of the Congress at Jaipur came out as chanting for Rahul Gandhi projecting him as the future Prime Minister of India. The people who wanted to attract the favour of UPA chair person Sonia Gandhi, got a handy tool in Rahul Gandhi. There was an all out applause for him in the Congress conclave. He was the star attraction and man of the match. Psychophants had their hay day demonstrating otherwise a most ridiculous splendour of the whole show. Flattery flowed like a legless rhyme. The flowery praise for Rahul Gandhi from all corners of the conclave echoed like a beat on the drums and the participants competed neck to neck to claim the maximum possible credit for all this to themselves each. Even media was no exception in the race. They showed each of their clips on TV dozens of times with Rahul Gandhi in the focus. All this was a token gift to Sonia Gandhi through Rahul in advance projecting him as a winning contestant for the top post of the Indian Prime Minister. They forgot that this was their kitchen show and had hardly to do any thing with what could have been the reaction as from the people in general in the country who are the final judgement giver in the matter. In fact it was merely a section of the people who were there in the crowd sans a representative character of the public as a whole. People at large in the country have their reservations on qualification, experience, and capability of Rahul Gandhi with a question mark that what else could be his plus point except that he is the son of ex Prime Minster of India, Rajiv Gandhi, and chair person of UPA, Sonia Gandhi. It may yet take time for the people to forget that Rahul Gandhi was a top failure in his campaign for the Congress during last elections in Uttar Pradesh. The coterie that surrounds him presently mainly consists of those who are in the race to lick the right feet matching their opportunism.
