2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 34,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 8 Film Festivals

  6. Not exactly sure what “helper monkeys” are? But, we’ll let it go. Congratulations on the successful year. For the blog “Avenues”.

    Statistics are always misleading.

I might say? How many people watched those 4,329 films? Which would be a better gauge, to comparisons?

For myself and how I view a successful blog, or book. Or any written material. Is it’s quality. How does it speak to me the reader? I really would not care if there was only one or two publications. Provided the material spoke to me, gave me thought provoking and interesting content.

In that, “Avenues” has been successful since I first came upon it. About 3 months past. The quantity has been good and I always look forward, to seeing another notification of publication in my inbox.

The quality, is too successful. As otherwise I and others would not feel so compelled to reply. That, I always read other’s replies also. Since it enriches and adds to the pleasure of the experience.

So for the next year of 2013. I am looking forward to the continuation of “Avenues”. Best wishes for a healthy and prosperous 2013, for neelkanth and his many blog followers.

    Your truly,
