Elections in Gujarat are due on 13th and 17th December only after a few days from now and a war of words amongst the parties concerned is running hot on the top calling names against each other. Narendra Modi is like a monkey, says the Congress. Modi refines it affirmatively with an ‘yes’ saying that he is the Lord Hanumaan, the monkey God, for the people of Gujarat. Navjot Singh Siddhu, a cricketer turned politician and spokesman of Bhartiya Janta Party in its Gujarat elections is not the type to keep silent. He retorted by quoting the three monkeys of Mahatma Gandhi comparing Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister, with them, who neither sees any thing, nor listens any thing, nor even speaks any thing like the Gandhi’s monkeys symbolically did. Whose definition or redefinition is correct to what extent will be known only after the elections are over and the results are declared. No kind or amount of mud slinging is any limit for the political parties, free as they are in a manner unbridled to assume any choice name for themselves and the same in negative terms for the others.
