SBI -Pension issue in Supreme Court:

There are queries raised by many in regard to date of Pension issue in Supreme Court to the effect that whether there is any possibility of getting it pre-poned to some date earlier to 9/1/2013, the date already fixed up for the purpose. K.R.Saini, who keeps himself always updated on the issue, has expressed his dismay  in one of his latest comments about the date having not yet been pre-poned. In fact there is nothing to feel dismayed on the subject, as I had already made it clear in one of my earlier posts that there is hardly any chance of any pre-ponement, and the date continues fixed up as on 9th January’2013. Let concerned people only wish that even the date so fixed up for the purpose as it stands today is not further post-poned as a consequence of fluctuating priorities at the level of the Supreme Court of India. There is another case more or less on the same lines pending before Delhi High Court fixed for 10/1/2013, and there again the decision given by the Supreme Court on 9/1/2013 is most likely to prevail. The retirees concerned have to keep patience at least till then.

DEAR SHRI NEELKANTH JI,AS YOU ARE AWARE DURING THE 5TH BIPARTITE SETTLEMENT(1987-1992)THERE WAS NO REVISION CONSIDERED IN THE PENSION CEILING AND, SINCE THEN,THERE HAS BEEN AN ISSUE ON THE PENSION CEILING(50% OF THE LAST DRAWN AVERAGE PAY OF LAST 12 MONTHS WITHOUT ANY CEILING)THIS ISSUE IS PENDING FOR THE LAST 25YEARS.THIS IS THE REASON THAT MOST OF THE OLD PENSIONERS HAVE LOST PATIENCE.K.R,SAINI
