It’s too insulting a measure!

One California based company, Icon Shoes, has named one of their shoe brands with the image of Lord Buddha. All the Buddhisths feel badly outraged on that count and are demanding stern action against the company reiterating that not only the company has to recall the shoes on sale in the  market but they must also stop their further manufacturing of such a brand containing Lord Buddha’s image. The demands so raised are, by all means, justified warranting a peremptory action in the matter. Lord BuddhaLord Budha is considered to be the incarnation of God worshipped by not only Buddhisths all over the world but equally by others belonging to diffierent religions. How come the company decided to go for a choice that concerns a particular sect. It sounds like commercialising the God for the marketing purposes, which factor no religion in the world can tolerate. If it was some other religion involved like Islaam, a fatwa might have already been released by now to eliminate the people concerned in the company. It’s time for the company to take immediate measures in the matter before the issue gains a bigger momentum and the situation goes from bad to worse.
