Let us hail the President elect!

A long wait is since over with the new President of India having been elected. Pranab Mukherjee is now occupying the highest office in the country as its 13th President. In fact there have been 14 Presidential tenures of more or less 5 years each, after India became independent, as the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, was consecutively elected for the top post twice with the first one starting on 13th May’1952. He was succeeded by Dr. Radhakrishnan, an eminent educationist and philosopher in 1960, who was followed by the different luminaries one after the other, the last being Pratibha Patil, the first woman President of the country, before the current incumbent Pranab Mukherjee took over the reigns from her.

Pranab Mukherjee is known to be learned and knowledgeable with an amiable countenance. His is a practical style of working taking the problems to their logical end. If skill and expertise counts, his was the best choice for the top post of the country. All the Indians look forward to him for a result oriented functioning and decision taking without continuing as a rubber stamp. as many call the Presidential post as such, and tangibly deliver the goods to the nation. We, all Indians, hail him and wish him all the best.

  1. Sir, Pranab Da is probably the most learned and experienced politician of our country and as such was the most suitable candidate for the post of PRESIDENT OF INDIA. People of our country have high hopes of him and I also join you in hailing and wishing him all the best.

  2. There is no dispute about quality and integrity of Pranab Da but there is a question in my mind whether he may be able to do justice to the position he has since occupied without any prejudice to the long years of active work in politics.
After all only time in days to come can show his real worth.
